Welcome to the Southwest Mississippi Animal League &
Rescue! We are a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3), non-profit,
volunteer-based, NO-KILL animal welfare league. We
service Amite, Pike and Walthall Counties in southwest
Mississippi. We are dedicated to helping abused,
abandoned, or injured domestic animals; preventing
animal cruelty; advocating and carrying out spay/neuter
programs, educating the public about pet care and
responsibility; and establishing a NO-KILL animal shelter.
We are a growing organization that is looking for members
with a love for animals. Help us help our SMALR friends
that can't help themselves!

The Krewe of Bar-kus -SMALR
style- came to Magnolia for its
annual Mardi Gras parade and
festival. Several of our volunteers
and their dogs were able to make
it out to participate. We had a
blast Magnolia, but boy were our
dogs a barking when we finished
the parade!

We are thrilled to invite you to a benefit for SMALR. On Sat.,
March 14th at Buddy's (located on Deleware Ave., McComb, MS),
you can come out for a howling good time. Come listen to the
delightful sounds of entertainer, Jackie Bankston. Admission will
be $5.00 at the door. Raffles and door prizes will also be
available. All admission fees, raffles and donations will go to help
SMALR rescued animals. So, come on out and have a howling
good time and help SMALR animals that cannot help themselves!

Do you ever see those people with the "I CARE FOR
ANIMALS" car tags? Well, all those people and the members
of the MS Tag Grant committee have helped SMALR in a
huge way. SMALR is proud to announce that we have
received our 1st MS Tag Grant. With this money we are able
to spay and neuter more animals. Thank you to all those that
made this possible. Keep buying those tags and more
animals can be helped!
