We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3),
non-profit, volunteer-based, NO-KILL
animal welfare league. We service Amite,
Pike and Walthall Counties in the southwest
Mississippi area with various programs
including a fostering network. We are a
registered Mississippi Charity.
SMALR is funded entirely by private
donations, grants and fund raisers. We
receive no funds from local government
agencies. With your support, we make a
difference in the community! Support us
now and you can help us help our SMALR
friends that can't help themselves.
Though our main focus is cats and dogs, we
do provide assistance to all types of animals
from the smallest to the largest.

for their support, assistance, and prevention
of animal cruelty
advocate and carry out spay/neuter
programs
establish a no-kill shelter (except when
compassion for a suffering animal demands
